EVENTS: DEMBA “Ready, Set, Backpack”
This year, we were thrilled to be part of the “Ready, Set, Backpack” event organized by the Downtown El Monte Business Association (DEMBA). This fantastic back-to-school celebration brought the community together on Main Street in El Monte, creating a day filled with fun, creativity, and generosity.
The street was buzzing with energy on the day of the event. Families from all around the area gathered to enjoy the various booths, activities, and giveaways, all designed to prepare kids for the upcoming school year. The atmosphere was electric, with children’s laughter filling the air and local businesses showing their support for the community.
One of the highlights of our booth was our arts and crafts area. We created a space where kids could unleash their creativity and have fun coloring and decorating to celebrate our Guinness World Record achievement. Our booth was stocked with all sorts of colorful materials—markers, crayons, and more. Children of all ages stopped by to color their own rocket backpacks, making each one as unique as they are.
In addition to our arts and crafts station, we also wanted to make sure the students had something useful to take home. That’s why we handed out stylish tote bags to attendees. But these weren’t just any tote bags—they each contained a special free product inside. From essential school supplies to fun surprises, our goal was to provide something that would make the back-to-school transition just a little bit easier.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to the Downtown El Monte Business Association for organizing such a meaningful event. “Ready, Set, Backpack” was more than just a back-to-school event; it was a celebration of community, learning, and togetherness. We are proud to have been a part of it and look forward to continuing our support for this vibrant community in the future.
To everyone who stopped by our booth, participated in the arts and crafts, and took home a tote bag—thank you! Your enthusiasm and smiles made our day truly special. We can’t wait to see what the next school year brings and are excited to continue supporting the amazing families of El Monte.
